I actually stumbled upon "Dark World" by accident... and it totally changed everything. Literally HATE any mouth sounds (slurping, chewing, smacking) and I literally always contemplate suicide, murder, strangling etc. That’s a long list, I only go nuts with a few sounds. This plus 'Deserted' (more low tones than high tones on that one) is excellent fuel for the short story I'm writing, which takes place in a dark, echoing complex of underground tunnels. The strange thing is, if that person was to make the same noise deliberately to attempt to annoy me, it wouldn’t effect me in the slightest. For me, I think what bothers me the most about all of this is not so much the offending acts themselves, but my reactions to them. Then I started googling “aversion to sound of wind” and found this site. I just figured this thing existed today when I was researching why sounds scared me. This one makes me feel like I'm walking through a Minecraft stronghold, worrying about creepers behind the next dark corner. She has long, really hard nails, and she slaps the screen with her finger causing her nail to tap, tap, tap constantly until the damn iPad runs out of charge.
